Architectural Model of a Large Wooden Pedestal Obelisk. The architectural model is made individually by hand using high- Allen wood.
General:
The item imitates antiques from the old days, it was made new according to the old model. The integrated signs of use ensure the antique character and are intended to underline the nostalgic look. Therefore, these signs of use are intentional and do not represent a quality defect.

During antiquity, an obelisk, or pointed column, is a free-standing, tall, tapering monolithic stone pillar that has a pyramidal top. Later in modern times, obelisks were also bricked or assembled from different segments. They were usually given a base on which inscriptions were placed on specific occasions. The actual obelisk was then erected over the base. In architecture, an architectural model, or model for short, is the true-to-scale representation of a design. This can mean both a real and a virtual building model. What is important with these models is not necessarily a high level of detail, but above all the presentation of the central ideas and the concept, the design. Architectural models are therefore often quite abstract and differ significantly from models that depict existing buildings. During the period when Michelangelo was working on the realization of St. Peter’s Cathedral, he also made a number of models of this building. These were later rediscovered in an attic, completely restored and are now one of the main attractions of the Vatican Museum. Over the centuries, architects have repeatedly made models, on the one hand to clarify detailed solutions in advance in three dimensions and to help their clients to get a better imagination through these dimensional perspectives. There were even many architects, some of whom were well known, who actually collected such models, not only to document their own, extraordinary way of thinking and acting, but also to use them as valuable decorative objects for apartments, but above all for offices. We now offer you a small but fine selection of fascinating models of early staircase designs and cathedral buildings. These are made of cherry or Birch wood and finally provided with light and dark shades in honey colors in the finest way. Elegantly curved lines and curves in beautiful wood processing convey a very special, almost flowing impression, regardless of whether it is presented in a private or business setting.
